QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid School Social Worker/School Adjustment Counselor license from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education
- Master's degree in Social Work or Master's degree in related counseling field
- LICSW, LCSW or LMHC licensure
- Experience in an urban district preferred
- Strong demonstrated oral and written communication and literacy skills in English and Spanish.
JOB DETAILS
The Clinical Supervisor supports students’ academic and social and emotional learning and achievement. Ongoing support and intervention are provided via a multi-tiered system of support model and includes services that strengthen home, school and community partnerships and addresses barriers to learning and achievement. The Clinical Supervisor contributes to the school’s development of a healthy, safe, and caring environment for children and adults. The Clinical Supervisor provides this essential support for academic learning by designing and implementing effective prevention and intervention strategies that are informed by an understanding of the social/emotional development of students and the influences of school, family, community and cultural differences on student success.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the Department of Social Emotional Learning and the school principal, the Clinical Supervisor assumes a broad range of functions within these core responsibilities:
- Provide supervision, guidance and evaluation of clinicians
- Clinical Supervisors may provide the following direct services:
- Provides assessment and evaluation to identify student, family and school needs that impact learning
- Provides prevention and intervention services to all students referred
- Provides counseling services to address targeted issues impacting school success
- Participates in the school-based Wellness Team to identify and overcome potential barriers impacting regular attendance
- Assists the safety of students by providing crisis intervention and triage support
- Promotes consultation and collaboration with school, family and community providers to support all students
- Advocates for appropriate family support services and family engagement resources
- Supports and provides leadership for Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) initiatives
- Participates in professional development activities to strengthen clinical best practices
- Maintains accountability and confidentiality in communication and documentation
- Utilizes a holistic, whole-child approach in working with students and families
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Superintendent/Deputy Superintendent, Executive Director of Social Emotional Learning/Assistant Director of Social-Emotional Leaning

SALARY: $106,642
BENEFITS: In accordance with the School Committee, City of Lynn, and the School Administrators Association.
